      Last resort

by TK Dubua on 10/30/2025 1:59:54 AM

I bought my Benz because it was the only iption and it was a Hail Mary, I need a whip for work. I found out shortly it needed a new front suspension and brakes. 🤦🏼‍♂️i got it just short of 157000. It’s driving now, and starts everytime but I treat it like a peice of fine shins cause I just need it to work and it’s not cheap to own even a 30 year old Mercedes. It’s pretty outrageous tbh. But it was never driven in the winter here in MN so it’s clean and the inside is like new. Very elegant and classy , you can’t understand the privilege it is to drive a Benz till you have the opportunity. I love this car and poured a great deal of effort in it to make the classic drive. Even for a 98 it’s an incredible feat of engineering and I’m unsure what I’ll do when something inevitably breaks cause it’s half easy to work on and half so absurd they designed it that way you want to strangle the designers.

These cars are great and reliable even when antiqu

by SouthFLCH on 8/4/2023 1:44:46 AM

I have a 2001 E55 with 75k miles and I bought my son a 2001 e320 with 50k miles about a year ago ..both cars are extremely reliable despite their age, little things go like the vacuum hoses (locks) and window regular parts ..but nothing major my e55 has been one of the most reliable cars I have owned ever except for my 2010 911 which never breaks only needs gas and oil ..These older benzes are gems and cars ARE NOT made this way anymore ...the w124 actually is even better ....I have a neighbor in Florida that has 340k miles on his w124 and the interior still looks new and the car is completely rattle free and more solid then my new 4runner ..As long as an older benz 190E,190D, C-Class, E-Class, has been cared for and maintained they are as reliable as a honda or toyota. I would however not buy a newer Mercedes...the plastic parts especially in the engine compartment are their downfall ...
