In order to keep a vehicle running for as long as possible it needs to be maintained on a regular basis. Vehicles have gotten a lot more expensive due to inflation and many of us expect our car or truck to last many years.
When finding a vehicle for yourself or family it is important to do extensive research in not only the car or truck itself, but what the maintenance costs will be like. Depending on the vehicle type, model year, and driving habits the maintenance schedule can be quite different.
There are certain parts that all vehicles have to get replaced or repaired during the life of the car. The most common changes that have to be made are oil changes, air filter changes, brake pads changed and tire rotations.
Oil changes usually happen about every 7000 to 10,000 miles depending on driving habits and brand of oil.
