Once holiday time hits, you probably want to rush to your car and hit the road, so you get as much time as possible with family at your destination. But don't rush too fast without making sure your vehicle is ready. You should have a list ready so that your road trip has no unexpected surprises.
Use these travel safety tips to keep your holiday travels seamless: https://t.co/5qZkhGa2AJ pic.twitter.com/RpDvAnd4g2

- Have a map or GPS ready, and lookup any weather conditions that could affect your trip
- Have things along that can keep your passengers occupied and minimized the stress of a long drive
- Plan stops so that you can stay awake during the trip, and so your passengers have stretching and bathroom breaks
- If you've got a really long trip, book a hotel room, so you don't travel late at night
- Make sure you're equipped with roadside emergency tools just in case you have vehicle problems and have warm attire and warm coverings for your passengers in case you have to wait in your vehicle for roadside assistance
The best way to make sure you don't have to make emergency roadside stops, or least greatly minimize the risk of them happening is to visit our dealership to have pre-trip maintenance done. We can look your vehicle over and make sure all-important components are in order before you go. Just make sure your visit to us is planned well enough in advance to give us enough time to resolve any major problems. On behalf of all of us at Lithia Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram FIAT of Spokane, we wish you safe travels and a happy holiday.
